That’s it – I’m going to church this Sunday. I’m not sure whether to go to Christian Outreach Centre or Beenleigh Baptist... maybe COC, ‘cause I feel the presence of God stronger there. The praise and worship has so much feeling! That’s why I can’t stand going to Jehovah’s Witness meetings with Dad (he’s a JW, and drags us along to the meetings every second weekend). They sing only three songs throughout the service, and there is absolutely no feeling in them. It’s hard to get emotional singing a song when the lyrics are boring, and the melodies are dull and the music is a recording of someone playing the piano. At church we sing for the first hour, then the pastor talks for the second hour. The songs are wonderful and full of meaning, and there is a band playing the accompaniment, along with a small choir. Here are excerpts of some of the songs we sing:
